Well I am going to go on a hiatus from LJ for a while. I am not sure how long it's going to be but to be honest I don't feel like doing anything on LJ for the next while.

Update

Cris & Matt
I know it's been a long time since I have done an update but I have been busy with work and all still and it's only going to get worse now between now and the end of April. By the time I get home I don't feel like writing anything in here just due to the fact the amount of energy it takes to write. Sunday was Cris' and my 1 year anniversary of the first time I told her I loved her which then became the official start of this wonderful relationship. I loved her so damn much. I can't believe that it's been a year already. It still feels like just yesterday when that happened. I sent her a suprise, a dozen red roses, to her work this past Friday. Orginally I was thinking about sending them to her Sunday but decided to switch it to Friday. I remember how suprised she was and her coworkers reacted and made such a big deal out of it when I sent her roses for Valentine's Day to Covin's which was her old work. Cris took a couple pictures with her camera phone which I am going to repost here. The vase came with the roses and actually looks a hell lot nicer then it does on the FTD web site.

I wish that I had the money right now to book tickets for my next flight down to Texas. I was checking out Travelocity and tickets flying out of Toronto is expensive as hell, almost $500 CDN but flying out of Buffalo is under half of that at $217 CDN! Argh oh well I guess I wait and hope the tickets are not that expensive when I do get the money. I am back to only the default 6 user icons and a free account for LJ. I don't really use all the features for paid account and really I havent't really used LJ all that much this month to warrant a paid account.

I am going to do an update with some pics and a summary of my Christmas trip tonight probably and as well get all the pictures of my Christmas trip up on my Webshots gallery. Cris & Matt
Well I have been back in Canada for over a day and a half now. My trip to see Cris over Christmas and New Years was more better then I ever could have dreamed it could be. We did take lots of pictures from the trip and I will try to get them up sometime this weekend as well as a summary of what we did over the course of my vacation. I still have lots of unpacking and wash to do as well as find spots for a lot of the stuff I bought on my trip & got for Christmas. Hopefully I can get some of that done by the weekend.

OMG drinking Bailey's Irish Creme while at work total rocks! I am all ready for my trip tonight. I am leaving from work in about an hour to head to the airport. Hopefully it won't take forever to get checked in and clear American customs here. In under 7 hours I will be landing in Dallas and back in the arms of my sweetheart. :) *smiles big* Well if I don't get a chance before hand I would like to wish everyone on my friends list a very Merry Christmas and a safe and joyous New Year.

Christmas & My trip

  • Dec. 21st, 2005 at 12:34 PM
Cris & Matt
Well I am finally finished my Christmas shopping as of last night. I went out Monday to do some and got to Limeridge Mall. I walked around the mall to look for a bank machine to deposit my paycheque but couldn't find one anywhere there. I ended up having to drive back downtown to the only bank branch that I know of that is close to me. I go in to the bank machine and then realize I don't have my bank card on me. Argh! So I head home and look and look and look around my apartment for my bank card but can't find it. The last time I used it was Friday at the convience shop across the street from me and I know I got the card back from them. My parents talked to the person they know at the branch near them and said they could go in and get a replacement card for me. So Tuesday after work I drove out to my parents house. I grabbed my temporary bank card, played with Whitney and then her let outside to pee since my parents where at an auction and wouldn't be home to late. Then grabbed the luggage my parents are lending me for my trip and packed it in my car, and took out my CB radio and amp out of my car and stored it at their house. By the time I got done with thisit was after 7pm. I headed out back to Limeridge and did some Christmas shopping for Cris, Whitney and Cris' cats and grabbed something to eat. By the time I did all that it was 9pm and time to go home. Last night I went out for a few more hours to finish my Christmas shopping. First I went to Canadian Tire to get something for my dad and then a outdoors type place called Canadian Outback near Limeridge Mall to get something for my mom. I am so glad I am done as the lineups at the mall where just brutual!

I can't believe in 2.5 days I will be in Texas again spending Christmas with Cris and her family and spending New Years with Cris and some of the people from her work. I so can't wait to get there and finally be back in her arms. Christmas eve we are going to Cris' parents house and spending the night. Cris' sister and brother in law will be coming over to their parents house Christmas day and her parents are going to make breakfast for us all and we are going to open presents! On the 30th we are going to go see a friend of Cris' band play [Daryl] at a bar in Dallas. We are going to bring New Years in together at a party. We are going to do a dinner/movie date one of the nights I am there and going to go see the King Kong movie. But other then that we don't have any other plans so I think the rest of the time we are going to play it by ear. :)

Hockey game!

  • Dec. 19th, 2005 at 2:53 PM
Matt With The Stanley Cup
Well last week they had an auction at my work to raise money for the United Way. Subsequently we ended up raising in that week aroud $7500 for the United Way! Woohoo! One of the items, which I bid on and won was a pair of tickets to the Buffalo-Pittsburgh hockey game down in Buffalo this previous Saturday. I asked my dad to see if he wanted to come to the game with me which he did. It was funny we crossed over at the Queenston-Lewiston bridge and ended up getting in a lineup that was taking forever. This customs agent seemed like she decided to check everyone ahead of us throughly who was crossing the border, which included checking the trunks of their car. Well when we got up to her she asked her maybe a total of 3 simply questions and away we went. We were talking to her maybe a whole minute and she didn't even check the trunk of my dad's car. Go figure! The seats at the game where simply awesome. We where 7 rows up from the faceoff circle. My only compaint was that whenever someone was going up the stairs when the action was oon the other side of the rink during the game it would block our view. None the less I had a great time and the game was full of action. Buffalo won 4-3 and we saw Crosby score in front of us which was cool. I did get a bunch of pictures on my cell phone. They pictures aren't the best quality but give you an idea of what the game was like.

On to the pictures from the game )

Your Christmas is Most Like: A Christmas Story

Loving, fun, and totally crazy.
Don't shoot your eye out!

You Are "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause"

Then I saw mommy tickle santa claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing santa claus last night

At Christmas, you feel like a kid again
Complete with major Christmas eve insomnia

You Are Rudolph

Sweet and shy, you tend to be happiest when you're making someone else happy.

Why You're Naughty: You sometimes stick that nose where it doesn't belong

Why You're Nice: Christmas would be a sad affair without you!

Cris' trip to Canada summary

  • Dec. 5th, 2005 at 12:21 PM
Cris & Matt
Just a quick overview of the things that we did when Cris was here in Canada over American Thanksgiving,
- made a wonderful romantic Thanksgiving dinner
- talked things out and worked out the problems we where having
- went out for dinner to a Japanese restaurant and got Cris to try Sushi!
- went to my parents booth at the flea market out in Brantford and bought a couple things
- went to Tim Hortons to have some donuts and coffee (well Cris drank the coffee I didn't)
- went to Limeridge Mall to look at for a Christmas ornaament for her mom
- went to Canadian Tire and looked at the Christmas lights and ornaments there
- went to the Ancaster Old Mill for brunch with my parents

It was a really short trip unforuately but non the less it was great seeing her and even worse having her have to go back to Dallas. At least in 18 days I will be back down in Dallas and in Cris' new apartment for the first time. I am so excited about my trip! Now with my main desktop machine DOA atm i haven't been able to go though the pictures we took until last night when I went to my parents. I will post a preview of a few of the pics and the link to the rest of the picture up on my Webshots tonight.
